DTG

Operation AND ADVANTAGES

DTG (Direct-to-Garment) printing is a digital technology that allows high-quality color printing while giving a very soft texture to printed clothing. This method has many advantages over traditional screen printing methods.

One of the main advantages of DTG printing is its ability to produce complex designs with a high level of detail. It is ideal for printing small and medium series or for the production of individualized articles. Print quality is also excellent, with bright, vibrant colors that last wash after wash. DTG printing is also an environmentally friendly option, as it eliminates the need for water-intensive processes and reduces waste. The inks used in DTG printing are also free of harmful chemicals, making them safe for the environment.

Overall, DTG printing offers a convenient and efficient solution for producing high-quality, full-color prints on textiles. Its flexibility and affordability make it an ideal choice for individuals, artists, and businesses looking for a fast, environmentally friendly printing method.

Print size

The price of DTG printing is related to the printed area, take the time to measure the dimension of your printing. The maximum print area for garments is 14" X 16" with the possibility of a 16" X 20.

Image format and resolution

Your image must be in PNG format with transparent background.
A minimum resolution of 4200px X 4800px is required.
SRGB color space.

DTG

PNG with transparent background.

A PNG file is great for not seeing the color around your main subject.

In some very specific cases you might also want to keep your background image for aesthetic reasons, but generally the results are inconclusive.

JPEG or PNG with image without transparent background.

Simply transforming a jpeg image to png format does not remove the background of the image. Photoshop or other tools such as www.remove.bg allow you to remove the background from an image.

You would think that an image with a black background on a black sweater will not cause a problem. Usually the black of the garment will not be the same as the printed black and will give poor quality results.

Ideal image resolution: 20 Megapixel.

Since we have products of different ratios and formats (landscape or portrait), the golden rule is to respect a minimum of 20MP to cover all our products. This resolution will allow your file to print at 300dpi

For example:

4200 * 4800 = 20,160,000 = 20.1MP = Good

5400 * 5400 = 29,160,000 = 29.1MP = Good

4200 * 2000 = 16,800,000 = 16.8MP = insufficient

DTF

Operation AND ADVANTAGES

DTF printing is an ever-evolving digital printing technology that offers incredible benefits in image quality and versatility. DTF, which stands for Direct-to-Film, allows an image to be transferred directly onto film, which can then be transferred onto a textile or any other material.

With DTF printing, colors are more vivid and images are sharper, delivering higher quality than traditional printing methods such as screen printing or sublimation. Additionally, DTF printing allows for a wider variety of colors, styles, and textures, making it an ideal choice for businesses and individuals wanting to create unique designs.

DTF printing is also more durable than screen printing and sublimation because DTF inks adhere better to fabrics and materials, meaning designs don't fade easily and stay sharp for a long time.

Additionally, DTF printing offers great design flexibility as it can print on almost any type of fabric, including dark fabrics and synthetic materials, making it ideal for businesses looking to customize. clothing, accessories and promotional items.

In sum, DTF printing is an innovative and advanced technology that offers unique advantages in quality, durability and flexibility, making it an ideal choice for businesses and individuals looking to create high-end designs. quality and personalized.

Silkscreen

How it works and benefits

Screen printing is a proven method, best known for its ability to handle large quantities with remarkable efficiency. This process uses a screen to transfer ink to various surfaces, whether textile, paper or other media.

The specificity of screen printing lies in the careful separation of colors. Each shade is applied individually through separate screens. This approach ensures exceptional color accuracy, and compared to digital direct-to-garment (DTG) printing, screen printing offers clear, crisp distinction between colors, especially for designs that require high color consistency.

Screen printing preparation is crucial. Each screen is carefully prepared to ensure that every detail of the pattern will be reproduced precisely. This step, combined with screen printing's ability to handle large quantities, makes it a preferred choice for large-scale projects.

Although DTG can be perfect for small quantity print runs and has the advantage of flexibility for complex multi-color designs, screen printing is the mainstay of large-scale productions where consistency and quality are essential. To summarize, screen printing, with its ability to process large quantities while ensuring color accuracy, stands out as a compelling option for those looking to fulfill large orders without compromising quality. Compared to DTG, it presents undeniable advantages for massive productions.

Print size

The maximum print size is 12.5 X 15 inches.

File

Configure the design with a .PNG file and upload your AI or EPS vector file for the print job.

IMAGE FORMAT AND RESOLUTION

Configure the location of your design with a PNG format file with transparent background and a minimum resolution of 4200px X 4800px
SRGB color space.

Silkscreen

Send your Vector file: AI, EPS, PDF

A vector type file will allow you to separate the colors for printing. This allows screen printing. This file is usually made with illustrator software. You must attach it on the product page.

If you only have .JPEG or .PNG files (see below) we can try to vectorize your image. Additional costs are to be expected. If this is not possible printing via DTG is recommended.

The file must be compressed .ZIP and added from the product page.

The number of colors.

The number of colors varies depending on the color of the garment.

A black garment with a color design will require a base coat of white ink to adequately reproduce the colors above that coat.

Example of number of colors

For a white / pale sweater

  1. 2 colors
  2. 4 colors
  3. 1 color
  4. 3 colors

For a black / dark sweater

  1. 3 colors
  2. 4 colors
  3. 1 color (with correction of the lettering in white)
  4. 3 colors (with correction of the lettering in white)

If you use more than 4 colors, we recommend printing by DTG.
